Packaging, Labels, and Direct-to-Shape (DTS) Printing

wed apr 2, 2025 - thurs apr 3, 2025

pushing boundaries in packaging, labels & dts

The evolution of digital and inkjet technologies in packaging and labels is reshaping production methods, offering new opportunities to innovate and meet the demands of modern markets. This event will dive into the latest advancements, practical applications, and emerging trends across packaging, labels, and direct-to-shape (DTS) printing.

DTS inkjet printing is driving a significant transformation in packaging, enabling direct printing on three-dimensional objects like bottles, cans, and containers. By bypassing traditional labels, DTS offers a streamlined process, reducing material usage and enabling flexibility in design.

This technology stands out in sectors requiring high-impact visuals, such as beverages, personal care, and home products. With advancements in ink adhesion, colour vibrancy, and durability, DTS ensures packaging can meet the highest standards of quality while offering customisation at scale. Its ability to adapt to rapid design changes makes it a powerful tool for brands seeking to maintain agility in competitive markets.

Expanding Horizons in Packaging

Inkjet technology’s versatility is driving its adoption in a wide range of packaging applications, from flexible films to corrugated cardboard and rigid boards. Today’s systems can deliver exceptional detail and colour fidelity on diverse substrates, ensuring that both aesthetics and functionality are maintained. Advances in ink formulations, including water-based and UV-curable options, are addressing concerns around durability and food safety, paving the way for inkjet’s broader use in food, beverage, and pharmaceutical packaging. The ability to seamlessly integrate dynamic elements like QR codes or augmented reality features further enhances the value of inkjet in packaging production.

Elevating Label Production with Inkjet

Inkjet’s flexibility is equally impactful in label production, where the demand for short runs, personalisation, and intricate designs continues to grow. Modern inkjet presses rival analogue methods in speed and output quality while offering significant operational advantages, such as reduced setup times and on-demand production. Industries requiring precision and compliance, such as pharmaceuticals and high-end beverages, benefit from inkjet’s ability to integrate variable data, security features, and embellishments without compromising speed. With hybrid systems becoming more sophisticated, converters can seamlessly combine digital precision with analogue techniques to deliver premium results.

A Platform for Innovation and Exchange

This event will bring together leaders and innovators from across the digital and inkjet printing landscape to explore practical applications, emerging opportunities, and the future direction of these technologies. Engage with experts driving advancements in DTS, inkjet, and hybrid printing systems.
